Diwan Quarter
A new backdrop to the Diwan; a new civic identity for Al Rayyan Rd.
The Diwan Quarter comprises an enfilade of new government buildings, with the new Qatar National Archive at the corner, facing the Corniche and Souk Waqif.
Heritage Quarter
The Heritage Quarter makes the link to the Old Souk and incorporates the old historic fabric of the city within the new urban grain. The new Eid Ground and cultural uses within the heritage houses make this a landmark location for Doha.
Retail Quarter
The retail route of the Souk is extended westwards along Sikkat Wadi to join the historic retail street of Doha Al Kahraba St. The retail circuit, including a contemporary indoor multi-level souk and a range of exclusive arcades, loops round to its climax, the central square - Barahat al Naseem.
Kahraba Quarter (resi and mix use)
The Kahraba Quarter is an exclusive residential neighbourhood. Its edges are formed by high-profile office buildings and a school, with 'fireej' clusters of elegant townhouses gathering around the northern end of Kahraba St.
Nakheel Quarter (HQ gateway)
Nakheel Quarter forms a landmark cluster of commercial and mixed use buildings. It is located at the major crossroads and transport hub of Nakheel Square, where the Masterplan meets the wider city.
As the meeting point of historic streets and the new urban grid, it is truly the point of union between ancient and modern.
